In this issue: Rusty in "Getting Sick-nic on a Picnic!" - Johnny takes the family for a ride in the country and a picnic; Rusty in "The Well-Behaved Brat!" - beleaguered by the antics of the children, Johnny buys a book about bringing up children the modern way; Little Vinegar in "What Not to Do at the Zoo!" - when the Higgins (spelled that way this issue) family visits the zoo, chaos and mayhem befall at the hands of Little Vinegar; "City Kid" text story - Ted is not happy about having to host a visit from his cousin Buzz from Brooklyn; "These Days Who Knows If It Pays to Pose!" - Rusty is irritated by Johnny reading a story with photos of a pretty model, however later that day she is approached by the same photographer who offers her a modelling job; Mitzi in "Seeing Stars!" - Mitzi gets on the town welcoming committee for the visit of Hollywood star Van Swenson; and Rusty in "Tragic Magic!" - Johnny wants to become a magician, however he has a few problems trying to master the tricks. 48 pages, full color. All issues are 16 pages unless a Superman story is inserted (bringing page count to 24 or 36 pages). Every issue encourages boys not to be a "Whoo-Shoo" -- a boy who reads "Superman-Tim" but doesn't buy clothes from the Superman-Tim Store. This issue features "The Adventure of the Tripoli Pirate," a 16 page comic adventure starring Superman and Tim (mostly Tim). Copyright 1947 by Superman, Inc., under license to Tim Promotions, Inc.
